As Sinatra’s anthem about our great city begins…“Start spreadin’ the news!...”
We had some very exciting news just today that Swingtime has been invited to perform on Tuesday night, June 29 at 7:30pm on Astoria Park’s Great Lawn for the Central Astoria Local Development Coalition’s annual Independence Celebration Concert with Fireworks!! We’ve played many times over the years in this beautiful spot along the East River for Central Astoria LDC’s wonderful Waterfront Concert Series, so we are extra thrilled to be the ‘Headliner’ for their big event this year leading into July 4 weekend—which also features a spectacular Grucci fireworks display following our concert!
We encourage our friends and fans in Queens and Manhattan to come out for this fun and festive ‘Great American Songbook’ program, and we are sure to have a huge crowd with the Fireworks, so please join us for this swingin’ celebration of America’s freedom, as well as our freedom to gather once again to enjoy live music together!!
This newly added kick-off to our summer concert season is only the beginning, with many more great shows to come, including our return to the Tilles Center on Sunday, July 11!
