Hello, Friends!
As the song goes…“Spring is Here!” With the recent changeover to Daylight Savings Time, and the official arrival of spring last Sunday, we are even more excited about our upcoming Swing into Spring concert at Landmark on Main Street in Port Washington, NY on Sunday, April 3 at 2pm!
We’re planning a fun and festive musical celebration of the season, not only highlighting the rebirth of nature and the warm sunshine and the blooming of flowers, but also the blooming of love, courtesy of the Great American Songbook! Just some of the titles you will hear include “It Might as Well Be Spring,” "Blue Skies,” “It Could Happen to You,” “Mountain Greenery,” “You Make Me Feel So Young,” “I Wish You Love,” and “April in Paris.” In addition, we will be recreating classic recordings from such iconic bands as Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Woody Herman, Ray Anthony, and Les Brown!
And, quite coincidentally, Sunday, April 3 also happens to be Doris Day’s 100th birthday! So our 2022 centennial tribute to Doris (and also to Judy Garland!)—featuring our own Bobbie Ruth—will make this an extra special show that you won’t want to miss! Plus, we also feature our ‘guy next door,’ Zack Alexander, singing songs of the season recorded by the legendary Frank Sinatra.

Now that the days are getting warmer, brighter, and longer, our thoughts drift to the summer sunshine, so I am also happy to tell you that I am working hard on scheduling our tri-state area tour for this summer (plus “Summer sunshine” is actually a clue about this summer’s program theme!)! We will have more news soon about where we will be performing near you, including further program details, so please check our calendar often for more details.
