October 2020
Dear Friends,
Let me start by sending warmest greetings and regards from all of us in Swingtime, and we hope that this message finds you and your loved ones in good health. We also hope that you are managing to stay positive and hopeful during this tumultuous time in our world, and we would like to help keep your spirits up in some small way.
Since we are not yet able to perform for you in person, we have focused our attention for now on the virtual world, and we are delighted to announce the unveiling of our brand new website! Our previous design served us well for many years, but it was high time for an upgrade, and after many months of work (with profuse thanks to our designer and regular Swingtime saxophonist James Miceli), we are excited to share our new site with you now.
As you will soon see, the new website has many more photos of the band throughout (compared with our old site), and it is also filled with lots more detail in terms of recent performances and programs. Also, while we are on ‘pause’ for now, you can get your Swingtime fix on our new video page, which has a baker’s dozen of our favorite YouTube concert videos from recent years! We hope to be able to perform live for you again very soon, but in the meantime, we hope you enjoy this virtual experience with Swingtime: (http://swingtimeny.com/video/).
One way to ensure that our next performances happen sooner rather than later is for everyone to please keep up with your observation of social distancing, hand washing/sanitizing, and wearing your masks in public. So, we would like to encourage you in that effort and also encourage you to help us…

We are very pleased to offer here our sleek new, limited edition Swingtime Big Band Facemasks. This is a very high quality mask, with 3 layers of 100% cotton, so it’s very comfortable and breathable, and, of course, featuring the Swingtime logo! Our entire band wore these at our recent Tilles Center performance, and we would be very happy for you to wear one, as well, to show your support for Swingtime and for bringing back live music!

We are asking for $10 per mask with an added $2 for shipping & handing (for up to three masks per package; or for four or more masks, it would be an added $4/package). If you are interested, please send me an email, and I will send you instructions on options for payment, and then we can get your masks in the mail for you right away.
We hope to be able to announce very soon when our next live shows will be (and please do check our ‘Upcoming Performances’ page regularly), but for the moment, we hope you enjoy the new website, and please feel free to contact me to let me know what you think.
In closing, let me wish you and yours enduring good health and safety, and we can’t wait to swing for you again soon!
Swingingly yours,
|
