Hello, Friends!
As the summer winds to a close, I want to start by sending warmest greetings from the entire band, along with our most sincere gratitude to all of you who came out to see our concerts over the last few months! It’s hard to express how truly excited we were to be back on stage together performing for you, and it was so heartwarming to hear your applause and feel the positive energy from the thousands of folks who came out for our summer 2021 shows, so...THANK YOU!!
We hope you and your family enjoyed a wonderful Labor Day weekend, and let me also take this opportunity to wish a very happy Rosh Hashanah to all who are now celebrating the Jewish New Year! Even though Labor Day usually signals the unofficial end of summer, I am delighted to announce one last Swingtime summer show just added to our schedule!
We are most honored to be invited to perform this Sunday, September 12 at New Jersey’s huge annual Hoboken Italian Festival, which will be Swingtime’s debut performance in Frank Sinatra’s hometown! This fun four-day event is one of the largest Italian festivals in the Tri-State area, offering an abbondanza of delicious tastes and smells, along with entertaining sights and sounds, and for their final afternoon, we provide the sounds!
We play on an outdoor stage on the Sinatra Promenade from 2:00-4:30pm, and we’ve prepared a really fun program showcasing music created by the great Italian-American artists of the 20th Century! Foremost among those, of course, is Hoboken’s favorite son—Frank Sinatra—but we will also recreate music recorded by Dean Martin and Bobby Darin, as well—all featuring our own wonderful vocalist, Zack Alexander, who was the 2016 winner of Hoboken’s ‘Sinatra Idol’ contest!
The performance and the festival are free and open to the public, so we really hope that our friends and fans in New Jersey and NYC will come over to see us and hear us! Click here for more details
We will soon be announcing our performance schedule for fall 2021 (including our traditional November Veterans Tribute concerts) and spring 2022 (including our annual February Love Songs program at The Madison Theatre at Molloy College!), so please check the schedule page on our website regularly for more information. And, if you haven’t seen our Facebook page, check it out now and please be sure you “Like” us there to see our regular posts (which will include some new videos in the coming weeks!).
We hope to see many of you this Sunday in Hoboken, and, in the meantime, we wish all of you and your families a healthy and safe fall season.
